I
get angry with my boss
|

Question:
" I get angry
with my boss but never say anything to him. He never tells
me anything until the last minute. I just fume and it's really
getting to me. What should I do?"
|
|
| |
Answer:
This is a complicated area with many possible solutions: |
|
| |
1) |
QUIT. |
|
| |
2) |
When
you are given last minute work, explain that you haven't got the
time or resources to deal with it. |
|
| |
3) |
Thank
him and say you are really pleased that he knows that he can rely
on you to perform miracles at a moments notice. |
|
| |
4) |
Schedule
a meeting with him and then explain quietly but firmly what he is
doing, how it makes you feel and how if he could help you by giving
you advanced notice of work you would be able to deal with matters
even better than you currently do. |
|
| |
My
preferred solution is number '4' but you must make sure that you
are speaking to each other as 'adults' and that you are not blaming
him for his actions and you are not moaning about how you feel
'bad'. It's best to approach this matter from the point of view
that you want to increase the efficiency of both of you and to
improve the work that you do.
